Amazon invests $5B more in Anthropic

Amazon has deepened its commitment to AI startup Anthropic with an additional $5 billion investment, bringing its total stake to $13 billion. This funding will enable Anthropic to acquire up to 5 gigawatts of Amazon's custom AI chips, including Trainium and Graviton processors, to support the soaring demand for its Claude AI models. The investment addresses performance issues and outages experienced by Claude users due to infrastructure strain.
