AMD FSR 4.1 coming to older graphics cards
The Verge·
AMD is expanding its FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 4.1 technology to a wider range of graphics cards. Initially launching for RDNA 3 GPUs in July, the upscaling feature will become available on RDNA 2 chips in early 2027. This move will enable owners of Radeon RX 7000-series cards to utilize FSR 4.1 across over 300 supported games, including titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin's Creed Shadows. The subsequent expansion to RDNA 2 architecture will bring the technology to devices such as the Steam Deck, enhancing visual performance on older hardware.
