Android 17 rolls out to Pixel phones

Google has begun distributing the Android 17 operating system update to compatible Pixel devices, accompanied by the June Pixel Drop feature set. While not all features announced previously are included, the core OS update is now available. A major user interface enhancement is the introduction of 'Bubbles,' which are floating app windows accessible via a long press. Although similar functionalities exist in custom Android versions, Bubbles are now an official part of the Android 17 experience. Other manufacturers are expected to release the update later in 2026.
