Apple Education Discount Requires Student Verification
The Verge·
Apple has updated its online education discount policy in the US, now requiring proof of eligibility for students, parents, and teachers. Previously available without strict verification, customers must now use Unidays, a third-party service, to confirm their status. This change, already in effect in several other countries, now extends to the Apple Watch for the first time, making it available at discounted education rates. The rollout of Unidays verification is also expanding to Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Turkey, and Chile, aiming to streamline the eligibility process.
