Apple warns developers about App Store app removal
TechCrunch·
Apple is updating its App Review Guidelines to potentially remove apps that fail to attract users or remain updated. This new policy targets apps in well-established categories that are not actively improved or engaging customers. Previously, Apple focused on rejecting copycat or low-quality apps, but now it will also consider removing apps that lack customer engagement. This initiative aims to improve app discovery on the App Store by reducing clutter and highlighting quality applications. Developers submitting variants of existing popular apps or those in saturated categories must now offer a uniquely improved experience to remain on the platform.
