Audi reveals mid-engined hybrid supercar concept

Audi has unveiled the Nuvolari concept, a mid-engined plug-in hybrid V8 supercar that may serve as a replacement for the R8. This new model leverages Lamborghini's platform and boasts an impressive 987 horsepower, combining three electric motors with a high-revving V8 engine. The Nuvolari features a carbon fiber body and advanced aerodynamics influenced by Audi's Formula 1 team. Audi plans to produce 499 units of the Nuvolari, with production expected to begin in the first half of next year, signaling a significant step in the brand's performance vehicle strategy.
