Balmuda launches sleek aluminum alarm clock
The Verge·
Japanese company Balmuda, known for its innovative kitchen appliances, has introduced a new travel-friendly alarm clock. Dubbed 'The Clock,' it features a minimalist design inspired by Dieter Rams' iconic Braun clocks. Instead of traditional moving hands, it utilizes an 'Light Hour' illumination system with glowing numbers to display the time. Crafted from a single block of aluminum, the clock is compact and lightweight, measuring about four inches tall and weighing approximately 260 grams. This blend of aesthetic design and functional simplicity aims to enhance users' sleep, focus, and waking routines.
