The Block·
Charles Schwab is rolling out its new crypto trading platform, allowing retail clients direct access to Bitcoin and Ether for the first time. The platform, named Schwab Crypto, will be introduced in phases, with clients able to trade BTC and ETH through dedicated accounts linked to their existing brokerage accounts. This marks a significant expansion from Schwab's previous indirect crypto exposure via ETFs and derivatives. The firm will charge a 75 basis point fee per transaction, with crypto accounts offered through Charles Schwab Premier Bank.
