Cloudflare celebrates 12 years of Project Galileo

Cloudflare is commemorating the 12th anniversary of its Project Galileo, an initiative providing cybersecurity services to vulnerable organizations globally. The project now supports over 3,400 websites for journalists, human rights defenders, and nonprofits across 120 countries. To mark the occasion, Cloudflare released its first comprehensive report on cyberattacks targeting civil society, revealing that these groups face more frequent and intense attacks than other internet users. The report highlights DDoS attacks and vulnerability exploits as common threats, with media organizations being disproportionately affected. Cloudflare also announced new case studies and partners, reinforcing its commitment to a secure and open internet.
