Cloudflare secures non-human identities with new features
Cloudflare Blog·
Cloudflare is introducing updates to secure non-human identities, addressing risks like credential leaks and impersonation inherent in agentic AI systems. The new features include scannable tokens for credential protection, enhanced OAuth visibility for managing principals, and resource-scoped Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for fine-tuning policies. By partnering with GitHub, Cloudflare can now automatically revoke leaked API tokens found in repositories, preventing malicious use. This proactive approach ensures that even if mistakes happen, like accidentally pushing secrets, the impact is minimized. These updates are crucial for managing the lifecycle of identities beyond humans, including agents and scripts.
