Cohere releases open-source AI model Command A+

Cohere has launched Command A+, a 218-billion-parameter AI model optimized for complex reasoning and multimodal document processing. Notably, it's the first Cohere model released under the permissive Apache 2.0 open-source license, enabling enterprises to run and adapt the AI within their own secure environments. The model utilizes a sparse Mixture-of-Experts architecture with advanced 4-bit quantization, significantly reducing compute requirements and allowing it to run on a single high-end GPU.
