Databricks, AWS SageMaker Integrate for LLM Fine-Tuning

Databricks Unity Catalog and Amazon SageMaker AI are now integrated to streamline Large Language Model (LLM) fine-tuning workflows. This solution enables secure access to governed data and maintains lineage across services, utilizing Amazon EMR Serverless for preprocessing. The integration allows for the fine-tuning of models like Mistral-3-3B-Instruct, with trained artifacts being registered back into Unity Catalog. This approach ensures continued use of existing services while preserving central governance and data lineage, meeting security and compliance requirements.
