Deezer launches AI music detector for playlists

Deezer has introduced a new tool to identify AI-generated music across various streaming platforms, addressing growing concerns about copyright and potential fraud. This free online detector supports 27 languages and analyzes playlists from 20 popular services, including Spotify and Apple Music. Deezer is positioning itself as a strong opponent of AI music, actively removing it from recommendations and editorial playlists, unlike rivals who primarily use tagging. The company is experiencing a significant influx of AI-generated tracks, with 44% of new music uploaded being AI-generated, though its listening rate remains low.
