Ebola cases drop significantly with increased testing
Ars Technica·
The number of suspected Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has seen a substantial decrease, falling from over 1,100 to 437. This reduction is attributed to intensified outbreak response efforts and more comprehensive testing, which has helped to rule out other illnesses. Confirmed cases and deaths have also been revised downwards, reflecting a clearer picture of the outbreak's scope. Meanwhile, Uganda reported a slight increase in its case count among contacts of known infections.
