FBI dismantles global phishing operation W3LL

The FBI has announced the successful takedown of a global phishing operation known as W3LL, which facilitated cybercrime targeting over 17,000 victims worldwide. This operation allowed criminals to purchase phishing kits for $500, enabling them to create fake login pages and steal sensitive information like passwords and multi-factor authentication codes. The W3LL marketplace also served as a hub for trading stolen credentials and system access, with over 25,000 compromised accounts reportedly sold. The FBI's operation, conducted in collaboration with Indonesian police, resulted in the arrest of the alleged developer and the seizure of key domains, significantly disrupting cybercriminal activities.
