Firmus, an AI data center provider backed by Nvidia, has secured $505 million in new funding, valuing the company at $5.5 billion. This latest investment brings Firmus's total funding in the past six months to $1.35 billion. The Singapore-based company is developing an efficient network of AI data centers in Australia, codenamed Project Southgate. They are utilizing Nvidia's reference designs and will incorporate the chip giant's upcoming Vera Rubin platform for their next-generation AI computing systems.
