Gateway Capital closes $25M fund for startups
TechCrunch·
Gateway Capital Partners has announced the first close of its $25 million Fund II, enabling the firm to commence investment operations. The Milwaukee-based venture firm, founded by Dana Guthrie, aims to back at least 20 companies with average check sizes between $500,000 and $600,000. While industry-agnostic, the fund will prioritize Midwest industries ripe for disruption, including supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing AI. This new fund follows Gateway Capital's $13 million Fund I raised in 2020, signaling continued investment in early-stage companies.
