Gemini 3.5 Live Translate offers fluid voice translation

Google has launched Gemini 3.5 Live Translate, an advanced audio model capable of near real-time speech-to-speech translation in over 70 languages. This new system generates smooth, natural-sounding translations that preserve the original speaker's intonation and pacing, avoiding the awkward pauses of traditional turn-based systems. It continuously translates, staying just a few seconds behind the speaker for improved context and synchronization. The technology is rolling out across Google products, including the Gemini Live API for developers, Google Meet for enterprises, and the Google Translate app on Android and iOS, enhancing global communication.
