Google advances wetland restoration and carbon removal

Google is launching a new initiative focused on wetland restoration and carbon removal science, located adjacent to its Mountain View campus. The project aims to restore a degraded salt pond, Pond A1, in partnership with the South Bay Salt Pond Restoration Project and Ducks Unlimited. This effort will serve as a living laboratory for academic researchers to develop and quantify novel approaches to carbon sequestration through wetland restoration.
