Google, American Airlines partner on sustainable fuel

Google and American Airlines have entered into the largest publicly announced agreement to date between an airline and a corporate end-user for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This multi-year partnership will unlock 35 million gallons of SAF, projected to reduce nearly 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions. The agreement enables American Airlines to secure a long-term SAF contract with producer Valero, highlighting the critical role of sustained demand in scaling SAF production.
