Google Gemini expands Chrome integration to seven countries
TechCrunch·
Google is broadening the availability of its Gemini AI features within the Chrome browser to seven new countries across the Asia Pacific region. This expansion includes Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam. The integration, which began with a floating window last year, now offers a sidebar assistant for cross-tab queries and personalized assistance using Gemini's Personal Intelligence. Users can leverage this feature to manage tasks like scheduling meetings, checking map details, drafting emails, and even transforming web images, enhancing user productivity directly within the browser.
