Google invests in Missouri data center

Google is expanding its infrastructure in Missouri with a new data center in Montgomery County. This expansion includes a commitment to developing over 500 megawatts of additional energy capacity through an agreement with Ameren, aiming to cover operational costs. Additionally, Google is establishing a $20 million Energy Impact Fund to assist families with utility costs through home weatherization programs. The company highlights that its data centers create significant local employment opportunities, with nine jobs generated for every direct position.
