Google, Voltus partner for grid capacity
Google Blog·
Google and Voltus have entered a three-year agreement to create a smart capacity solution for the PJM grid region. This collaboration will unlock up to 100 megawatts of new electricity capacity by orchestrating flexible distributed resources like batteries and smart thermostats. Participating homes and businesses will be compensated for reducing energy demand during peak times. This initiative aims to enhance grid stability, channel investment into local communities, and support Google's data center energy needs, contributing to a cleaner and more affordable energy future.
