Hisense UR9 TV Challenges OLED with RGB LED

Hisense has launched the UR9, the first consumer TV featuring RGB LED backlight technology. This innovation offers individual red, green, and blue LEDs, promising superior performance over traditional mini-LED displays. The UR9 delivers vibrant HDR, excellent brightness, and expanded color gamut capabilities, surpassing the P3 color space for enhanced movie and TV viewing. However, its $3,500 price point for a 65-inch model places it in direct competition with established high-end OLED TVs from LG and Samsung, presenting a significant market challenge for this new technology.
