Instagram launches Snapchat clone app
The Verge·
Instagram has introduced a new standalone application named 'Instants,' currently in testing phases in Italy and Spain. This app mirrors Snapchat's core functionality, enabling users to share ephemeral photos that vanish after 24 hours and can only be viewed once within that period. Available on both iOS and Android platforms, 'Instants' aims to capture a segment of the market focused on quick, disappearing visual communication. Meta has not yet disclosed plans for a wider rollout to other regions, such as the United States, or the potential development of a desktop version.
