Intel Core Ultra CPUs Launch Amidst High Component Costs
Ars Technica·
Intel's new Core Ultra 270K Plus and 250K Plus processors offer solid performance and efficiency, particularly for multi-threaded tasks, at competitive price points. However, their value proposition is significantly undermined by the current market for PC components, where AI-driven demand has drastically inflated prices for RAM, SSDs, and GPUs. Despite the CPUs themselves being reasonably priced, the overall cost of building or upgrading a PC remains prohibitively high, diminishing the appeal of these otherwise capable processors.
