Intel launches cheaper Panther Lake chips
The Verge·
Intel is introducing its new Core Series 3 line of Panther Lake processors, designed for budget-friendly laptops. These chips are built using the same Intel 18A process as the higher-end Core Ultra Series 3 but feature reduced specifications. The Core Series 3 family includes six different processors, with the top model being the Intel Core 7 360 and the base model the Intel Core 3 304. Compared to their Ultra counterparts, these chips offer fewer CPU cores, graphics cores, and PCIe lanes, resulting in lower TOPS performance and TDP wattage, making them suitable for more cost-conscious device manufacturers.
