Microsoft Developer Division Chief Resigns After 34 Years
The Verge·
Julia Liuson, the long-serving head of Microsoft's developer division (DevDiv), is stepping down after 34 years with the company. Liuson, who led the developer business for the past 12 years, oversaw a significant period of Microsoft's engagement with open source and its acquisition of GitHub. She will transition to an advisory role supporting Jay Parikh, chief of Microsoft's CoreAI division, until her departure at the end of June. The succession plan for her leadership role remains unclear, with speculation that the DevDiv team may report directly to Parikh.
