Microsoft IQ and Rayfin tackle enterprise AI data silos

Microsoft is addressing the issue of AI agents creating data silos with its new offerings: Microsoft IQ and Rayfin. Microsoft IQ unifies four key context sources—Work, Foundry, Fabric, and Web—into a single foundation, providing AI agents with comprehensive organizational and real-time external data. Complementing this, Rayfin is an open-source SDK that deploys agent-built applications directly into Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data is routed into the unified platform rather than creating new silos. This approach aims to provide a governed production backend for AI applications, enhancing data governance and context sharing within enterprises.
