The film will feature Kirsten Dunst as the iconic character Alex and an expanded role for Matt Berry, who previously voiced Nitwit. Berry is now set to portray a human character, with speculation suggesting he might be playing Herobrine, a character often depicted as an antagonist to Steve. Director Jared Hess and Mojang's Chief Creative Officer are also involved in the project, promising a deeper dive into the Minecraft universe for fans.
