Netflix ad tier viewerbase doubles, revenue grows

Netflix's ad-supported tier has seen explosive growth, more than doubling its monthly viewerbase for the second consecutive year. The $8.99 plan now reaches over 250 million global users, a substantial increase from 94 million last year. The company reported earning $1.5 billion from ads in 2025 and is expanding ad placements. Starting next year, advertisements will be integrated into the recently launched vertical video feed on its mobile app and within its growing podcast offerings, further monetizing its platform.
