Nothing cancels new phone due to RAM prices
The Verge·
Nothing has officially canceled its upcoming CMF phone release for this year, citing the significant increase in RAM prices as the primary reason. The company's co-founder, Akis Evangelidis, explained that the current memory costs make it impossible to develop a device that offers a meaningful upgrade at an accessible price point for the CMF brand. This decision follows earlier comments from CEO Carl Pei, who highlighted that memory costs for their mid-range phones had doubled, impacting their ability to deliver competitive products. Consequently, consumers will not see a new CMF phone model until these market conditions improve.
