Nvidia commits $40B to AI equity deals

Nvidia has significantly ramped up its investment in the artificial intelligence sector, committing over $40 billion to equity deals with AI companies in the early months of 2026. A substantial portion of this total, $30 billion, was directed towards OpenAI. The chipmaker has also announced several multi-billion dollar investments in publicly traded firms, including Corning and IREN. While some analysts view these investments as circular, they could potentially strengthen Nvidia's competitive position if successful.
