Nvidia fixes PC gaming shader compilation wait times
Ars Technica·
Nvidia has introduced a new feature in its latest beta app designed to eliminate frustrating "compiling shaders" wait times in PC games. This Auto Shader Compilation system automatically processes new shaders when the user's computer is idle, ensuring games are ready to launch without delay after driver updates. While the feature requires a recent GeForce Game Ready Driver and is off by default, users can enable it through the app's settings. It's important to note that initial shader compilation for newly downloaded games still occurs in-game. Nvidia is also collaborating with Microsoft on its Advanced Shader Delivery system.
