OpenAI AGI leader takes medical leave

Fidji Simo, OpenAI's head of AGI deployment, is stepping down for several weeks to focus on her health due to a neuroimmune condition. Simo, previously CEO of Applications, will be on medical leave. During her absence, Greg Brockman, OpenAI's president, will assume responsibility for product development and the company's super app initiatives. Business operations will be managed by Chief Strategy Officer Jason Kwon, Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar, and Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser. Additionally, Chief Marketing Officer Kate Rouch is departing to prioritize her well-being.
