Rare concert recordings digitized and shared online

A vast collection of over 10,000 rare concert recordings, meticulously gathered by a music fan since the 1980s, is now being digitized and made accessible through the Internet Archive. Volunteers are working to preserve these tapes, which are susceptible to degradation, by converting them into digital files. The archive already features approximately 2,500 recordings, including performances from influential artists like Nirvana, Sonic Youth, and R.E.M., with efforts underway to clean up and organize the audio for public enjoyment.
