Roblox introduces age-based accounts for safety

Roblox is enhancing its online safety measures by introducing age-based accounts for its young users, addressing significant global scrutiny over child endangerment issues. The platform will utilize an age-check system and parental verification to assign users to specific account types. Children aged 5 to 8 will receive 'Roblox Kids' accounts, while those aged 9 to 15 will be placed in 'Roblox Select' accounts. This strategic implementation aims to create a more secure and age-appropriate environment for its younger demographic, starting in early June.
