Samsung Galaxy Watches gain US blood pressure tracking
The Verge·
Samsung is rolling out blood pressure monitoring to its Galaxy Watch users in the US, a feature previously available in other regions. Compatible with Galaxy Watch 4 models and later, the update allows users to track systolic and diastolic blood pressure alongside heart rate. However, the feature requires an external cuff for initial calibration and periodic recalibration every 28 days, meaning the watches do not measure blood pressure independently. This marks a significant, albeit dependent, health-tracking advancement for the smartwatch line.
