SOND, a new sleep technology startup founded by former Bose sleep product leaders, has emerged from stealth, securing $7 million in funding. The company's debut product, Dreambuds, features closed-loop earbuds that monitor 12 physiological signals in real-time. These signals are processed by a cloud-based AI sleep coach that actively intervenes with personalized audio programs to improve sleep quality. The system operates independently of a smartphone, aiming to reduce user reliance on devices that can disrupt sleep.
