SpaceX sets new record with tallest rocket
Ars Technica·
SpaceX has successfully stacked its Starship Version 3 rocket, setting a new record for the tallest rocket ever built at 408 feet. This upgraded version features more powerful Raptor engines, a new lattice structure for hot staging, and modified grid fins for booster recovery. The company aims to use Starship V3 to test in-orbit refueling, a critical step for future missions to the Moon and beyond. The rocket is targeting a launch attempt on May 19th, following a successful test firing of its 33 Raptor 3 engines.
