Spotify adds narrated magazine articles

Spotify is introducing a new feature that allows users to listen to magazine articles, expanding its audio content beyond music and podcasts. Over 650 articles from prominent publications like Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, and Vogue will be available in English where audiobooks are supported. These narrated articles, each under two hours, can be accessed using the monthly audiobook allowance for Premium subscribers. This move aims to enhance user engagement by offering diverse, long-form content in an easily consumable audio format, potentially attracting new listeners and retaining existing ones.
