Trump Bitcoin ETF Plans Collapsed Amid Market Saturation
CoinDesk·
Trump Media & Technology Group has withdrawn its plans to launch Bitcoin and Bitcoin-and-Ether Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). Analysts attribute this decision primarily to the increasingly crowded spot Bitcoin ETF market, significant fee compression, and weak investor demand for the company's existing funds. With major financial institutions offering ETFs at very low fees, a new entrant like Trump Media would struggle to attract assets without a highly differentiated strategy. The company cited a "structural reset" but market observers believe competitive pressures and unfavorable economics were the driving factors behind abandoning the ETF proposals.
