Waymo robotaxi service launches in Nashville

Waymo has officially launched its public robotaxi service in Nashville, marking the 11th city for the Alphabet-owned company. Initially, rides will be available through the Waymo app on a rolling basis within a 60-square-mile area, with plans to expand to the Lyft app later. Lyft will manage fleet services, including maintenance and charging, through its subsidiary Flexdrive. This partnership differs from Waymo's arrangements in other cities, highlighting its strategy to act as a technology supplier.
