YouTube is broadening its AI-powered likeness detection tool to encompass all adult users, enabling individuals to identify potential deepfakes featuring themselves on the platform. This feature utilizes a facial scan to scan YouTube for lookalike content. Upon detecting a match, users are notified and can opt to request the removal of the infringing material. While initially tested with creators and public figures, the expansion now grants this capability to the general adult population, aiming to enhance user control over their digital likeness.
