Zipline raises $200M for drone delivery expansion

Zipline, a drone delivery startup, has secured an additional $200 million, bringing its recent Series H funding to $800 million. This capital infusion will accelerate the company's expansion into at least four new U.S. states this year, with Houston, Phoenix, and Seattle already announced as new markets. Zipline's home delivery service has experienced significant growth, exceeding forecasts and seeing increased order sizes and frequency. The company is also expanding its services internationally, including a new national contract in Rwanda to launch its Platform 2 autonomous drone delivery service in major cities.
