Zoox expands robotaxi service to Austin and Miami

Zoox, an Amazon-owned company, is expanding its robotaxi service to Austin and Miami, in addition to its existing operations in San Francisco and Las Vegas. The autonomous vehicle company has completed nearly 2 million driverless miles and served approximately 350,000 passengers since its launch. Zoox operates its purpose-built vehicles under a demonstration exemption, currently offering rides free of charge. This expansion into new major cities signifies a significant growth phase for the company as it aims to broaden its reach and gather more operational data in diverse urban environments.
