Deezer: 44% of daily song uploads are AI-generated

Deezer reports a significant surge in AI-generated music, with 44% of daily uploads now being AI-created, amounting to nearly 75,000 tracks per day. Despite this volume, AI music consumption remains low at 1-3% of total streams, with most detected as fraudulent. The platform automatically removes AI-generated songs from recommendations and playlists, and will no longer store high-resolution versions of these tracks. This trend mirrors AI music topping charts globally, prompting Deezer's CEO to call for ecosystem-wide action to protect artist rights and ensure transparency.
