Google Chrome adds AI Skills for saving favorite prompts

Google is enhancing its Chrome browser with a new AI feature called Skills, allowing users to save and reuse custom AI prompts. This integration with Gemini AI aims to streamline workflows by enabling users to run saved prompts across different web pages with a single click. For example, a user could save a prompt for finding vegan substitutions in recipes and apply it to any recipe website. Google is also introducing a Skills library with pre-made workflows for common tasks like productivity, shopping, and health, which can be customized. The feature begins rolling out to English (US) desktop users today, prioritizing user confirmation for actions like sending emails.
