Google Chrome is introducing 'Skills,' a new feature designed to let users save and reuse their most effective AI prompts for seamless execution across web pages. This functionality, integrated with Gemini in Chrome, allows users to create personalized, one-click workflows for tasks such as recipe analysis or shopping comparisons. Users can save prompts directly from chat history and access them via a forward slash command or plus button. A library of pre-built Skills is also available, offering ready-made solutions for common needs and allowing for customization. Skills are built on Chrome's security and privacy framework, requiring user confirmation for sensitive actions.
