AI agents are transforming healthcare and life sciences by processing clinical data, automating medical coding, and accelerating drug development. However, the sensitive nature of patient data and strict regulatory compliance, such as GxP, necessitate human oversight at critical decision points. This article explores four practical approaches to implementing human-in-the-loop (HITL) constructs using AWS services, ensuring that AI applications in these fields maintain necessary human control and adhere to regulatory standards while leveraging AI capabilities.
